This notice explains how I collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit this website, request a resource, book a conversation or take part in one of my coaching programmes.
Who is responsible for your information?
Aslam Cader is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and the personal coaching and resources offered through it.
This is a personal professional website and is separate from my employment. My employer does not control, receive or take responsibility for personal information submitted through this website.

Information I may collect
Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect:
Your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and role.
Information you provide when requesting a resource or making an enquiry.
Appointment details and information you choose to provide when booking a conversation.
Coaching agreements, goals, reflections, correspondence and limited coaching notes.
Assessment information where you choose an assessment-based coaching programme.
Payment, transaction and invoicing information. I do not receive or store your full payment-card details when payment is processed by a payment provider.
Your communication and email preferences.
Technical information generated when you use the website, such as device, browser, cookie and website usage information.
Please do not submit confidential information belonging to your employer or clients through a website form. You should also avoid submitting health information or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have agreed an appropriate way to handle it.
If information about health, beliefs or another special category of personal data becomes relevant during coaching, I will explain why it is needed and seek explicit consent where required.
How and why I use personal information
To operate and protect the website
Information used: Technical, cookie and website usage information.
Lawful basis: My legitimate interests in operating and securing the website. I rely on consent for optional analytics where required.
Retention: In line with the relevant cookie or service setting.
To provide a requested workbook, blueprint or guide
Information used: Your name, email address and relevant form responses.
Lawful basis: My legitimate interests in fulfilling your request and responding to it.
Retention: Up to 12 months after the request.
To respond to an enquiry or arrange an introductory conversation
Information used: Your contact details, booking information and the context you choose to provide.
Lawful basis: My legitimate interests and steps taken at your request before a possible contract.
Retention: Up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless you become a client.
To deliver and administer coaching
Information used: Contact details, agreements, goals, correspondence, assessment information and limited coaching notes.
Lawful basis: Performance of a contract, together with explicit consent where required for special category data.
Retention: Coaching notes are normally retained for up to 2 years after the engagement. Essential client administration records may be retained for up to 6 years where needed for legal or insurance purposes.
To process payments and maintain financial records
Information used: Contact, transaction and invoicing information.
Lawful basis: Performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.
Retention: For the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
To send optional insights, resources or service updates
Information used: Your email address and communication preferences.
Lawful basis: Your consent.
Retention: Until you unsubscribe or after 24 months without engagement. I may retain a minimal suppression record so that I continue to respect your choice.
To meet legal obligations and protect legal rights
Information used: Relevant communications, transactions and other records.
Lawful basis: My legitimate interests and compliance with legal obligations.
Retention: Only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
The UK GDPR does not prescribe a single retention period for all personal data. I review the information I hold and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, tax, insurance or dispute-resolution requirements.
When providing information is necessary
You are not normally under a legal obligation to provide personal information. Fields marked as required are needed to fulfil the particular request, arrange an appointment or deliver a programme. If you do not provide them, I may not be able to respond or provide the requested service.
How I receive your information
I usually receive personal information directly from you through this website, Google Forms, email, Calendly, Square, a coaching assessment platform or a conversation with you. These services may also provide me with the information required to administer your request, booking, purchase or programme.
Who I share information with
I do not sell or rent personal information.
I may share limited information with service providers where this is necessary to run the website or provide the service you request. These may include:
Google, for website hosting, forms, email and file storage.
Calendly, for appointment scheduling.
Square, for programme booking and payment processing.
A relevant coaching assessment provider when you choose an assessment-based programme. I will identify the provider before your information is submitted.
Email, video-conferencing, document-storage and other business technology providers.
Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
These organisations process information under their own terms and privacy notices or under contractual arrangements with me, depending on the service they provide.
International data transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, I rely on the transfer safeguards and contractual arrangements described in the provider's terms and privacy information, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

Cookies and website analytics
This website is built using Google Sites. Google may use cookies to deliver its services, maintain security and, where enabled, analyse traffic. Use the cookie choices shown when you visit the website and your browser settings to manage cookies. Rejecting optional cookies should not prevent access to the main website content.
External services reached through this website, including Calendly, Google Forms, Square, LinkedIn and Amazon, may set their own cookies and process information under their own privacy notices.
How I protect information
I use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information, including controlled account access, authentication, access restrictions and established service providers. No online system is completely secure, so please use an appropriate channel before sharing confidential or sensitive information.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
Ask for access to the personal information I hold about you.
Ask me to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Ask me to delete your information.
Ask me to restrict how I use your information.
